EcoChallenge – October 1-15, 2012

EcoChallenge – October 1-15, 2012

The Presidents’ Climate Commitment Committee, the Bonner Center for Community Engagement, and Sustainable Jersey are taking part in a nationwide “EcoChallenge,” which is organized by the Northwest Earth Institute. The EcoChallenge is an annual event that challenges people to choose one action to reduce their environmental impact and stick with it for two weeks. It’s an opportunity to change your life for good! From October 1st through the 15th, the Bonner Center, PC3 and Sustainable Jersey are challenging the TCNJ Campus Community to change one habit for Earth.

The EcoChallenge is open to anyone who would like to make a commitment to living more sustainably. Create a team at work or invite your friends and family to participate with you; camaraderie and friendly peer pressure make change a little easier, and a lot more fun. Individuals and teams pick a category (water, trash, energy, food or transportation) and set a goal that stretches their comfort zone and makes a difference for themselves and the planet.

Here at TCNJ, we already have created two teams – TCNJ Bonner for the Eco-challenge team and the Sustainable Jersey Program team. Members of TCNJ’s community are invited to participate as individuals, as members of these teams or to create their own teams.
