The Environmental Club hosts cleanups of the college as well as other areas throughout the state, including some of the beautiful beaches at the Jersey Shore. The Club gives recycling presentations to many of the different organizations on campus, teaching other clubs the ‘hows’ and ‘whys’ of recycling. In addition, the club teaches a week’s worth of lessons to TCNJ’s Career and Community Studies students about the importance of keeping of environment clean. During steam-walking, Club members take samples from both lakes on campus, and steams in Ewing Township. The goal is to benefit the township by providing analysis of the water quality through biology and visual assessments.
