In an effort to reduce the college’s commuting carbon footprint, Bonner Scholars are involved in a bike-to-campus campaign to encourage students, faculty, and staff to bike to, from, and around camps. This involve providing information about how to bike safely, where to park and repair bikes, and promotional giveaways of biking gear.
When asked what the top three actions could be taken to encourage biking campus, respondents reporting that:
- weather-protected bike parking on campus
- safer routes to campus, and
- secure bike storage on campus would increase biking at TCNJ.
Efforts are being made to improve the quality of bike racks on campus as well as the amount of bike racks available on campus. The link below provides information on bike racks on campus!
Bike registration is not mandatory but it is strongly recommended that students register their bikes with Campus PD! Bike registration is quick, free, and easy. Just fill out this form and email it to campus PD at tcnjpd@tcnj.edu . More information can be found on Campus PD’s website.
